An ethical approach to diamonds
Many people opt for diamonds when buying bespoke engagement rings. Unfortunately, the reality of the diamond industry can be far from glamorous. That’s why we only ever use ethical diamonds in our custom engagement rings, or any other piece of jewellery for that matter. Every one of our clients is secure in the knowledge that their unique bespoke engagement ring was created without human suffering.
Unfortunately this is not the case throughout the jewellery business. Tens of thousands of people have died in wars in Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Liberia and Sierra Leone over the past two decades, and these wars were largely funded through non ethical diamonds. That’s why at Ingle & Rhode we only ever use ethical diamonds in our jewellery and custom engagement rings, which we can trace back to their original source.
Whether we’re sourcing precious metals for wedding bands and custom Engagement Rings, or high quality gemstones for eternity rings and bespoke engagement rings, we use only Conflict Free Diamonds and fair trade gold.

We take our social and ethical responsibilities very seriously at Ingle & Rhode, but not at the expense of compromising on the aesthetic appeal or outstanding quality of our ethical jewellery. We have a team of award-winning designers who produce a wide range of Bespoke Jewellery, including wedding bands, Eternity Rings and custom engagement rings.
As a specialist in bespoke engagement rings and wedding bands we offer designs in the finest, ethically sourced precious metals including platinum, 18ct white gold and 18ct yellow gold. Each of our Wedding Rings and custom engagement rings is individually checked by the London Assay Office to ensure its purity before it is hallmarked.
We pay equal attention to the quality of the gemstones used in our custom engagement rings‚ individually sourcing diamonds for each of our rings to meet the exact specifications of each client. Each diamond used in our bespoke engagement rings is independently graded for clarity, cut, colour and carat weight.
