Cushion Cut Diamond Engagement Rings

Cushion cut diamond rings offer a beautiful variation on the round brilliant cut, but being a little more unusual, may appeal to those who are looking for engagement rings that are just a little different.
 
Cushion cut diamonds, also known as pillow cut diamonds, are brilliant cut diamonds with rounded corners that may look almost square in shape, or may be elongated and more rectangular in shape. Being brilliant cut, they have 58 triangular facets, designed to optimise the life (sparkle), fire (refraction) and brilliance (reflection) of each diamond.
 
The large facets of the cushion cut help it to maximise its brilliance, but they also mean that inclusions may be more visible, so if you're looking for diamonds of SI1 or SI2 clarity grades, be sure to examine them carefully to check that they are 'eye clean'. As with all diamonds, we strongly recommend that you view them in person so that you can make your own assessment.
