The gold and silver we use for casting come from the EcoAndina Foundation in the north-west of Argentina. Small-scale mining communities work there under carefully regulated conditions to produce metals that are both environmentally friendly and socially beneficial. These are extracted without mercury or cyanide; the miners have the right to bargain collectively; child labour is strictly prohibited; and prices are set on a fairtrade basis. Most of our sheet and wire comes from the same source.
Our platinum comes from a refinery in the US and is 100 per cent recycled. Some of our gold sheet and wire is also recycled.
