Ingle & Rhode's Privacy Policy

By using this website you agree to Ingle & Rhode’s privacy policy.

This privacy policy is designed to inform you of what information Ingle & Rhode collects, why we collect such information and how we use the information we collect.

Ingle & Rhode is committed to protecting your privacy. We only collect information about you in order to provide you with the best possible service, and will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

While using this website, you may choose to actively submit personally identifiable information about yourself through our Contact Form. This includes information that may be used to identify you such as your name; email address; phone number or other contact information. By submitting such information to us, you are giving us permission to use this information as necessary to deal with your enquiry.

Please note that this website makes use of a third-party service provided by Mollom BVBA ("Mollom") which tries to determine the quality of messages submited through our Contact Form, and particularly tries to determine whether these messages are to be considered as unsolicited messages (also called "spam").

When you submit a message using the Contact Form, the Ingle & Rhode website's server will first send your message (including any name, email address and telephone number that you included with your message), your IP address, and the date and time that you submitted the message, to Mollom's server. Mollom's server will then compare your message and your identity details with information in their database, and perform several complex statistical computations in order to assess the quality of your message.

If Mollom's server then determines that the content of your message constitutes spam or abuse, it will inform our server which may then decide to reject your message, or to provide you with an additional question to find out whether you are in fact a human being, and not a machine trying to send out as much commercial communications as possible. Please note that it is sometimes possible that Mollom's server wrongfully considers your message as spam or abuse.

What Mollom stores about you – Mollom stores all information provided to them by our website. This will include the content of your message (including any name, email address and telephone number that you included with the message), your IP address, and the date and time that you submitted the message.

How long Mollom stores this data – Your data is stored in Mollom's databases for at most two months. After this period of two months, Mollom can continue to store your data in anonymized way for a period of two years.

How Mollom uses your personal data – Mollom uses your personal data to assess the quality of your message, and to find out whether your message constitutes spam, by comparing your data with all other data of all other users in their databases. Afterwards, Mollom also uses your personal data to make similar assessments for all other websites that use their service, as the more information they store in their database, the better they can assess whether a message is genuine.

How we protect you – Ingle & Rhode and Mollom are bound by the strict rules of European data protection legislation, which prevents us from making unlawful use of your personal data. In addition, Ingle & Rhode is bound by English law while Mollom is bound by Belgian law.

Note that we hate spam as much as you do – in fact, this service is specifically targeted at removing spam. So, neither Ingle & Rhode nor Mollom will ever sell, trade or rent your personally identifiable information to third-parties, and will never send any spam to you.

While Mollom sometimes provide statistical information (trends, numbers, etc.) generated from their databases to third parties, please rest assured that you cannot be identified on the basis of this statistical information.

Note that both Ingle & Rhode and Mollom may provide access to your personal data in case of illegal or abusive use, or in case we receive orders from a competent legal authority.

Your rights – You have the right to gain access to, correct and/or remove all personal data we store about you on our servers. All this is provided to you free of charge. Please contact us if you would like to know what information we hold about you or request that we correct and/or remove such information.
